  11. Last night, House File 4300 and House File 2609 were passed in the House on 68-64 and 71-59 votes, respectively. Those measures now move to the Senate to await committee referral in that chamber. The bills impose a one-size fits all firearm storage requirement and ban certain firearm triggers. Additionally, this week, House File 601 was passed in the House on a 68-63 vote and referred to the Senate Finance Committee. HF 601 penalizes gun owners for failing to report lost or stolen firearms. View the full article

  14. I have only eaten an 'A' tag once....till this year. And damn near ate a 'B' tag today. I was about to pack it in and decided to check a public spot that had a bird on it before season. One series of yelps....nothing. Second series...nothing. Series of aggressive Cutts on mouth call and bingo...a hen Cutts back. I set up on edge of field and we started telling each other about what a bitch we thought each other were. Yack yack yack.... yack yack...yack yack... After about a minute the yacks were getting closer, then A gobble!!!! GAME ON! Things got serious, head net adjusted, heels planted firmly, double check red dot brightness. Soon the hen hopped over the stonerow and into the field followed by the Gobbler. They headed to the corner (vid) and about to go into next field , 20240503_080459.mp4 then I poured on the Cutts and aggressive purrs. She turned towards me and came on a string The rest is history
  15. I hit 2 Big areas 15 miles apart . Cut and run at the 2nd this morning. Probably walked a good 4+miles. And try again tomorrow. Cynthia heard just 2 shots over 3 days on Public. Tomorrow should be packed with Turkey Hunters though.
  16. Not disputing predators are a issue...but weather can wreck havoc with the hatch. If it's rainy and cool right after hatch, pult survival drops significantly.
  17. NY allows bobcats to be trapped. Let that sink in
  18. There will be a trappers ed class at the Hacketstown fish hatchery in Sept. Do your part
  19. Update. After an additional week I called on Thursday. Tracking showed the part would arrive Thursday. They did not know if they could repair on Friday but they would try. They come out today Friday and were here all day. Now they are telling me the return and ducts are too small. It is a 4 ton amana heatpump/ac and the return is 14 in diameter located on tje first floor. There are four bedrooms 2.5 baths and 2200 sq ft. Wouldnt you state the ducgs are the wrong size before installing the air handler 2 years ago?
  20. I agree. But are ppl seeing more jakes than hens this year I had a Silent Tom with a hen today in a field. He didn’t gobble or fan out but wouldn’t leave her side. They were like 89 yds out. She was clucking a bit then they she lost intrest and he followed then went to spot 3. Tons of gobbling. On a cut power line. Sounded like a tom 2 jakes and a hen I pulled the jakes away. They came In quick. Gobbling every mine or 2. Made a 3/4 circle around me in open woods. Didn’t come closer than about 60. Then they went back where they came from toward the other Tom who was walking off then the wind came. Hunted till 1154 I did see a male bird in a field about 135. Grass was a lil high. Could have been a hen their feeding At least today was cooler than yesterday but the wind su@ks
