Took a buddy out this morning and we got it done. Setup on a bird I roosted last night and he read the script. Flew down toward us and was in the dekes within 30 seconds and my buddy dropped his first long beard. 11” beard, 1.5 “ spurs and 19lbs. After high fiving we took a walk and threw out some calls to have a single gobble go off way into a swamp. We decided to hook around him and to our surprise there was three long beards coming out of the swamp into a small cut field. They had a hen with them and wanted nothing to do with us. We stepped back about 150 yards and we setup dekes and camera gear. I got aggressive on the calls and was able to pull one away and dumped him at 20 yards. 10” beard , 1 1/8 spurs, 21lbs. Funny as hell!! GOAT roasted for 3 hrs!! Gronk took a lot of shots over the bow too!! Belichick showed up…as did Robert Kraft!! Female comedian Nikki Glaser was the best!! She broke loose in every way!! Had a perma grin for most of the show!! Comedian Jeff Ross got reprimanded early on by Brady for a Robert Kraft “massage” joke. Lol

Saw a few Hens this morning. Not one gobble. There were some birds pecking in that big field photo, but no Toms. It’s amazing how they can walk with ease in all different types of cover.
