  2. One of the best pound for pound fighting fish out there.
  3. Its only a 5k lol and ita straight up a mountain so you won't be really running anyway 🤣 and if we do this I'll be exhausted from the day before. It's at blue mtn July 14th I'll be there for sure on the 13th doing the 10k but I haven't registered the kids for their race yet as I've been toying with this possibility.
  4. A lot of your rifle or slug gun being off a little can be several things...weather conditions or more often than not it's head placement on the stock. Doesn't take much to be off 1 or 2 inches
  5. My turkey gun is my old goose/duck gun. Rem 870 3" with 30" full choke. Does the trick all the time every time. I don't pattern the gun as I use one of two loads all the time.
  6. Anna thanx again for the generous offer, I'll put it to good use.
  7. So, it isn't just me then lol. I do the same with my non-birdshot guns because sometimes my slug gun is off when I take it out of the safe. I don't get it. I don't drop it and always handle it with care. But sometimes the scope is off. I see the same sometimes with other rifles. I always take at least one shot at the range with rifles or slug gun before a new season. I use a plain ol bead with my turkey gun, so no red dot or anything to worry about. And I use the gun nearly year round (my turkey gun is my waterfowl gun is my squirrel gun is my crow gun) so I keep it in good shape - I periodically break it down and clean it throughout the year.
  8. Absolutely not. The only way you'll get me running is if I'm being chased by a rabid wolverine. My wife would maybe consider it though. What are the details? She did the Lehigh Valley 5k on Sunday, hasn't really trained, got 4hrs of sleep and was drinking all night and she still got 2nd in her age group.
  9. Congrats on a great gobbler SS!

  12. Awesome! Congrats and way to get it done SS!
  13. I for one always shoot and pattern every year . Few shots , gets me out to the range , and go over functionality . Patterned my gun last weekend had no issues . Shot my turkey today and as soon as he dropped I jacked another shell in . Never needed it , but the action locked up . Now I function checked the gun , cleaned it , oiled it , and took it in the field . So you never know what can happen . Tomorrow I’ll be taking it apart and seeing what happened .
  14. Walleye has no closed season on the Delaware stove Matt!!!!
  15. You two will definitely get in trouble. With you we almost had a yacht run us over and with him I've been peppered while bird hunting. Good luck!
  16. Well played.CONGRATULATIONS
  17. I bought my mossberg 500 turkey special used with an after market choke. The guy gave me 13 rounds and told me this set up was spot on and the best combo he found. i shot the gun 4 shots. 40 45 and 50 and 55. It Was spot on. I went and bought 7 boxes of 10. that was in April 1997 I didn’t shoot paper again till last spring I shot about 20 rounds over 2 days to see what the partten did with 2 diff chokes and a few diff ammo types I’m short on time and ammo is getting expensive. Once varify tube shell. I was set.
