  8. Yep thats what I have. And I look like a monkey ******* a football when I throw it. My fishing buddy actually picked it up, so he got the lesson. And now all he wants to do is prep his tuna gear this spring lol.
  9. I can’t throw a 6-8 footer the same way I throw my 10 and 12 I recommend Percy cast nets he taught me how to throw it in his backyard and works perfectly for me I show all my friends the same way
  10. Im fairly new to this fishery as far as doing it myself, so im still learning, but my experience is that live lining generally provides constant action as compared to throwing shad, jigs etc. That being said, when the bass are hungry , anything with a hook seems to catch them. Now if I can just take the time to learn how to throw the net better. Thinking of getting a smaller one to learn. Maybe 7-8 footer.
  11. I brined mine and smoked them last year. We picked them clean and my wife mixed the meat with horseradish and cream cheese as a spread.
  12. Went out for a couple hours today. Got this nice Blackfin on a side tracker. Dropped one on the jig. Im not a big seafood eater (actually cant stand 99% of it) but will try it. I had all the tuna, gotta say...I think the Blackfin is the best tasting. Made it two ways....seared sesame & tuna salad .....both came out excellent. Thats saying a lot....if I can eat it it must be good!
