  2. @Zone50BugNerd here's a video of me from today on the obstacle I was telling you about. Definitely the hardest one of the ones there. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLpSrv7C/
  3. Snakeheads, muskies, smallmouth, largemouth, carp, rainbow and brown trout, all will be able to access more of the river and none is native. That’s the negative side of dam removals. But the upside is more native striped bass, river herring, American Shad and American eels, as well as sea lamprey will also have access to spawning habitat. The exception being the American eel which spawns in the Sargasso Sea but lives in freshwater.
  4. Well the biggest challenge at tough mudder today was forcing myself to walk not run and forcing myself to turn right and do the shorter course instead of the long one. Foots feeling good I made the right decision. Since I was in no rush at all I spent most of the time on the course stopping and helping other people make it through all the obstacles. I also managed to drop my gopro in 4 feet of muddy water on blockness and had to dive down and find it with my hands 🤣 oop.
  5. Saw this on YouTube last year. Can’t tell where he’s fishing but they seem to be there. Start at 10 mins
  6. Today
  7. Someone told me the fish were there and I wanted to see for myself. He said he saw the fish attempting to surmount the remains of the dam but he didn't think any made it. I wasn't fishing. I will get back into it eventually. I heard from the same unnamed source that the snakeheads have made it up that far too.
  8. Fed bear is a dead bear. Just call it to you during bear season haha
  9. Great grill. Fun fact. I heard from someone that they were talking to a guy at ace and they said the next couple months on inventory coming in will see price drops on items like grills and lots of other products. Not to get political but things will get cheaper prior to the election.
  10. Very cool. I’m assuming no fish is currently making it up that area with the way the water flows out of the hole in the dam. Be interesting how they finish it up. Hoping it’s less gradual and slower moving so I can kayak from upstream down through that area. We usually start at the dam and go to footbridge. I did fish it with my son this morning. Got 2 trout upstream and a trout and small mount much further downstream. Was that you fishing right at the breach of the dam around 8?
  11. Nothing like catching from the surf. Awesome!😎
  12. Tough Mudder ✅, Spartan next. Not really challenging but a lot of fun, nice workout for the day, nice meeting likeminded folks and my family had a great time watching. Great meeting @Northjerseyoutdoorsman as well!
  13. Seen just below Paulina dam on Sunday morning, May 19, 2024. Some kind of shad circling in the eddy below the dam. 20240519_100309.mp4
  14. Went with Cynthia today. At our 2nd Location, I Yelped Loud on my " Viper" Copper Over Glass Pot and he Gobbled just once. That was it-- 1 Gobble for the Day. Droves of Mountain Bikers were out today on Public.
  15. Way to go ! im heading down to fish the next 2 days.
  16. Followed the sound of squeaking in a grassland once, where a 20" Ribbon Snake raided a Meadow Vole nest and swallowed one of the little ones.
  17. Got out last night to fish a tide. First two hours of the drop was giant bluefish on pencils, 2nd into the 3rd hr slowed down with smaller blues hitting swimmers. 3rd hr into the 5th the bass turned on with fish up to 20 pounds then shutting off the final hr of outgoing.
  18. Sounds like an interesting hunt. Be interested but leave for Colorado that weekend for mule deer.
  19. Personally I think it's a Sparta Mtn water moccasin, very rare but they do exist. Most likely ate the mtn lion.
  20. I forget what company I used.
