  2. Had a few toms crushing it on the roost . They gobbled every time a tree squeaked in the wind . fly down turned into total silence . 930 comes and I hear a gobble way to my left . A few yelps and there was no doubt he was coming . He comes into my jake decoy at 6 yards and starts dancing around him . as I’m ready to send a broadhead through him another Tom coming from the right gobbles causing the hen he is following to start cutting hard . one step the Tom close to me is now blocked by a branch . The other Tom runs up to him , and instead of them jumping my decoy they proceed to beat the tar out of each other . Feathers flying . Hen starts to leave and they turn running behind her . Two gobblers at 6 yards get to fight another day . I should have just taken the first Tom , but wanted to see what the other bird was . Hero to zero . BUT we get to play again tomorrow .
  3. Stugots

    Stripers

    Ocean or bay? Great job
  4. I've been getting bucks on my camera from time to time but hard to see the nubs, today some bucks on the camera that are more noticeable

  6. On Tuesday, April 30th, Senate Bill 281, the gun owner financial privacy bill, was passed in the House by a margin of 85-5 and now heads to the governor's desk for a signature. View the full article
  7. I'll take them, Tuck can pick them up for me
  8. Looking for some help. Want to run up Friday with my son. Just looking for a general area to park and I can take it from there. Please send a DM. Thanks
  9. Bunker maybe lasted 10-15 seconds before u were hooked up
  10. Nomad

    Stripers

Slaughtered them off the beach yesterday about 15 fish had 20 others on. A few 42–43 inches. Biggest on my boga was just under 30.
  11. that is the most frustrating - must have bunker, which you can't keep in the water but a minute or less, and yet they won't touch a lure or just a slow pick....
  12. Hit the Raritan today. Took along time to find bunker. Once we did. Had 4-5 on at a time. 2 fish in the 40 lb class were caught. After we ran out switched to spoons and shads. And had a slow pick
  13. Here's what I did, not pretty but will allow you to experiment some with height. One benefit, it's very comfortable. Buy a pc of pipe insulation and some horse wrap. I pulled back the wrap so you can see how it's placed. Cut the insulation to size and wrap. Pic from one of my coyote rifles.
  14. Congratulations, nice bird !!
  15. Yeah i was just thinking that because a water moccasin can swim easily with head out of the water and much more buoyancy than other water snakes and the original post said it looked like it swam well above water. Sometimes species dont realize they crossed their Wikipedia listed range and need to turn around and head back.
  16. if the climbing sticks are still available, i am interested
  17. It does not have the classic pit viper head and NJ has zero water moccasins.
  18. The 6.5 is the Winchester! Wish it was the savage cuz it would’ve been easy to get one lol
