  4. Went yesterday am just to see if there was any gobbling , since a guy hunting close said A week was quiet , in zone 14. they were semi vocal yesterday morning , had a general idea where one bird was roosted , couldn’t get back to put him to bed so we sent it and went In this morning . Needless to say we were within 60 yards of him on the roost . He was all alone and absolutely fired up . He pitched down around 6:10 and went right towards another gobbler away from us . Circled back twice to check on our decoy , hed gobble and take off towards another Tom. We looked behind us and there’s a bigger bird , out in the field behind us , with a hen. We worked him for 2 hours straight . He got within 75 yards twice but wouldn’t come closer . He took off after his hen finally . We booked it through the woods kinda having an idea where he’d maybe end up , but it was a gamble . Threw down a decoy , that he never ended up seeing , and 35 mins later the hen led him along for almost a half mile . We gave out 3 clucks and he was fired up , shot him at maybe 10 yards .
  5. Congrats on a fish of a lifetime! Some guys get the tog thing. I like fishing for them, but I don’t have that knack for the bite. I also don’t do it enough lol probably once a year when it opens back up in November.
  6. Agree with Bowman45. Dark northern water snake. Note the water moccasins aka cottonmouths do not extend further north than VA.
  7. Good luck everyone. It got super warm fast today ! Tagged out this am 8:15 . Helping a buddy tomorrow , hopefully he can get it done early !

  9. Today
  10. Common Watersnake, non venomous, but a real nasty attitude.
  11. I should play the lottery today….
  12. Definitely a Milk Snake. When I was around 10 years old my neighbor and I used to go down the meadows every day snake hunting. We built a pen in my back yard and had around 60 snakes (Milks, Garters, and DeKays) in it. When it was time to finally let them go, I let them go in my backyard, my mother refused to go in the yard for years after that as they kept popping up all the time, lol
  13. Nothing heard, just saw one fly down
