  1. Past hour
  2. Cool looking Rattle snakes and like the bright colors on the Copperhead.
  3. Have a stout rod rigged up with a fish finder clip. Use enough weight to keep near the bottom. 30" of 30lb flouro with your favorite circle hook. Snag bunker. Cut in half. Toss the tail section in the water. Hook the head half behind the head in the meaty section. Slowly lower to the bottom. While you guys are drifting tossing bucktails and rubber that head will get sucked down by the lazier (bigger) bass on the bottom sucking up all the scraps.
  4. Life is funny I remember my dad was partners in a small business when I was growing up 1213 hrs. a day five days a week half a day six or seven hours on Saturday Saturday afternoon he would do family stuff Sunday we could fish. He told me work all u can when the work and the money is their. When I was a late teen my mother told me I better find interests other than hunting and fishing because you can’t hunt and fish every day and my dad told me I better find a career so that I could have money to hunt on the weekends , I don’t like either of those advices so I got a job that paid a little but had lots of flexibility so I could hunt as much as I could from 18 to 28 now I’m 52. I got money to do whatever I got time to do whatever. Most hunting and fishing losts it’s flare. I love turkey. My nj spots are slim pickings. Ny and pa have birds. More where I hunt ny very physically demanding. because I’m out of shape and it’s physically exhausting I lost most of the drive. Plus i was spoiled. I had Great spots i used to shoot a lot of deer I used to see a lot of deer same for turkeys now it’s a lot more effort to see a little bit of game so it’s not worth it for me. I enjoy reading about others success and stories. So go when u can. Time catches up. And pls keep writing about them. My dad is 84 all he talked about was going fishing this spring I tried to take him a few times He can’t physically do it anymore. Now he watches YouTube fishing probably every day.
  5. Don’t wish your youth away . just reschedule your morning appointments lol
  6. Today
  7. If I had time to put into my spots they might be worth it lol.. or if I had more than 45 mins to hunt would also help🤣🤣 can't wait for that retirement age to come haha.
  8. Tomorrow might be a ghost town . different every day .
  9. I agree with above.. sounds like a good hunt to me👍🏼
  10. That’s a good morning . At least you have birds to work .
  11. That’s a winning day in my book. Love having them that close.
  12. That’s a great day!!
  13. If I had your spots , I wouldn’t hunt any of mine
  14. I thunk I need location of this I believe someone here owes me a turkey.....or a 130+ buck dealers choice lol
  15. For me it’s all about the show . Love seeing these birds up close . Hearing them spit and drum so close you can hear their feathers vibrate . And I get to do it again tomorrow .
  16. Bear tooth. Best money I ever spent. Got them on 2 rifles and 2 shotguns now
  17. I hunt turkey as much as I can. Every chance I get. With whoever wants a partner. I almost never carry a weapon. I do the calling. I wana be a part of the hunt. I don’t need to pull the trigger.
  18. Where does one go tuna fishing in NJ? Charter etc...no nothing about it? TIA
  19. Sounds like success to me, because it will be a day you remember when you are in that nursing home in a few years.c
  20. But you got to see a show! Watching Toms fight up close is awesome, and not many people actually get to see something like that. That's a great hunt in my book. I had something similar happen several years ago, and I still remember it.
