    Had an absolute blast on a piece of public land in zone 7 this morning. It was my first morning out, as I sacrificed A week for a Turkey Hunting trip to Northeast Oregon. (Highly recommend; thread/pics to come). Yelped this gobbler right on into a 30 yd face full of #7s out of my Franchi Affinity 20 gauge. 9” beard and 7/8” spurs. God Bless y’all, be safe -Will

    Bullshit . I specialized in bass charters for many years . putting LOTS of people on LOTS of bass . Shads fished correctly as well as pencil poppers pounded fish . ‘so well that many guys didn’t want to fish live . Also had a big part of my business was filled by C/R guys . They fished artificial 99% of the time . and crushed fish . when they are aggressively eating live bunker , anything that duplicates and appears injured gets crushed

    Guys listen to to much hype about the bite being one thing . and that nothing else will work . Only time stripers get picky is when they are gorging on rain fish . rest if the time they can absolutely be caught using other things . .

    Fished barnegat light inlet and outside. Zero fish today. Conditions were right.

    We had good reading first thing in the morning, tried spoons and shad, only had one bass chase the spoon to the boat. When we got tired of that we put mojos out and it was game on but that died quickly and it went to a slow pick catching a fish here and there, we ending up with 20 in the boat by days end
