Thanks for the interest and my physical health is just fine....my mental heath is in question.. The lack of birds is driving me crazy! I have hunted 4 days so far without even hearing a gobble ! When I do hear gobbles it's on the roost and then silence when they hit the ground. That's a sure sign of high pressure from predators, both 2 and 4 legged. So far I've only worked birds three times!!!!. Two toms came in that I couldn't get a shot at with the crossbow because of brush. Another time I gave a longbeard a feather trim with a broadhead at 17 paces as he strutted for decoys and the third was a group Jake's that I passed up. This is the first year I haven't killed atleast one bird during the first week since 1984 and it's not looking good for B week I continue to see a decrease in turkeys as the number of bobcats increases. Hmmm I wonder ...

I can teach you to throw the net in five minutes . i would also recommend until you get good with the net to save your Percy . buy a Betts 10-18 mullet net , and change the handline to about 45’ percy makes a great net, but it’s very fine mono and is very easy to destroy

I'm not even hunting. Very few birds, I wouldn't feel good shooting the one bird I see occasionally.

Yep thats what I have. And I look like a monkey ******* a football when I throw it. My fishing buddy actually picked it up, so he got the lesson. And now all he wants to do is prep his tuna gear this spring lol.

I can’t throw a 6-8 footer the same way I throw my 10 and 12 I recommend Percy cast nets he taught me how to throw it in his backyard and works perfectly for me I show all my friends the same way

Im fairly new to this fishery as far as doing it myself, so im still learning, but my experience is that live lining generally provides constant action as compared to throwing shad, jigs etc. That being said, when the bass are hungry , anything with a hook seems to catch them. Now if I can just take the time to learn how to throw the net better. Thinking of getting a smaller one to learn. Maybe 7-8 footer.

I brined mine and smoked them last year. We picked them clean and my wife mixed the meat with horseradish and cream cheese as a spread.
