  2. A novice fly fisherman will miss EVERY strike if all they do is watch the bobber bounce up and down without setting the hook. I agree that using a bobber for newbies is the way to go, but once past that newbie stage, try to do without.
  3. That fresh haddock is one of my top three fin fish to eat but it has to be fresh. I try not to over spice it I’m looking for the fresh taste of the ocean my other to favorites are tile fish and halibut
  4. A liberal on a motorcycle and a vacuum cleaner? the vacuum cleaner has the dirt bag on the inside
  5. Nice! Use #157 for the Jetsled!
  6. Looks fantastic,,,,,,,,gonna give this a try with striped bass
  7. I hear the clam bite is pretty good right now. Congrats
  8. I hope KC takes a dump under your seat. Lol
  9. Today
  10. They are mean, also recall a post somewhere of one trying to eat a trout from a stringer.
  11. We will disagree on this forever..........a novice fly fisher (anyone you are guiding) will miss twice as many strikes without an indicator. There are few fly fisherman that can see or feel a bite EVERY time without an indicator.
  12. You forgot the part where you have to buy the fish first Nick.
  13. Happy Monday! Had a long and very busy weekend. Carnivore still, and down 3.5lbs so far. My goal for the month is 15lbs, but I'll be happy with 10 and then maybe I'll run it into June. I was up super late last night and didn't sleep well, so I'm kinda dragging right now. I would have taken the day off, but I have so much stuff to do, multiple meetings and a training to give as well. The soccer practice...ugh. My left hand is now yellow from the bruising. It doesn't feel terrible, but I'm fairly certain there is a fractured bone in there. Either the trapezoid, capitate or scaphoid. Not a whole hell of a lot to do for it anyway, so I'm just dealing with it.
  14. Is this still available?
  15. Pretty cool and leave the poor cop alone I do not think I would wrestle a pig down
  16. Just say NO to the bobber! If deep water nymphing, learn to feel the fly (flies) at the end of your line. One of the most frustrating thing for me when I guided was clients that insisted on using a bobber yet never once set the hook when the bobber indicated a take from a trout. The bobber takes away the feel of the fish eating your fly.
  17. Some brave cops. Look like some young blood 👍🏻
  18. "F that" that's too close for comfort. I would be 100 yards away from that thing!
  19. It's only early because of the regulations. We can catch fluke much earlier than this.
