  1. Past hour
  2. Followed the sound of squeaking in a grassland once, where a 20" Ribbon Snake raided a Meadow Vole nest and swallowed one of the little ones.
  3. Got out last night to fish a tide. First two hours of the drop was giant bluefish on pencils, 2nd into the 3rd hr slowed down with smaller blues hitting swimmers. 3rd hr into the 5th the bass turned on with fish up to 20 pounds then shutting off the final hr of outgoing.
  4. Today
  5. Sounds like an interesting hunt. Be interested but leave for Colorado that weekend for mule deer.
  6. Personally I think it's a Sparta Mtn water moccasin, very rare but they do exist. Most likely ate the mtn lion.
  7. I forget what company I used.

  9. been hunting up in Oleans county Vt for 30+ years
  10. So you know of this but say nothing to report it
  11. Your right, their is a slim chance. 5 guys checked in a doe, the last guy used his computer. The first 4 use their phone. The CO showed up at the hunters house that used his computer and he had proof. So now they use their phone only, they think it is safer. Guess the phone internet is different from the computer internet? Not that bright
  12. That's not even necessary because you can simply call one in without one at all. You are taking a chance though. There is a slim chance you will be checked by a CO. Even though it is NOT in the compendium, you are required to keep the head of ANY deer from ANY season for 48 hours. If the deer was taken to a butcher, the deer can be checked at the butcher's location. How do I know this? Last year, I was checked. I told the CO that this requirement was no longer in the compendium. He agreed but he showed me proof it was in the FULL game laws. Luckily, I had proof of the EAB harvest and was good. I wonder if they will remember to put it in the compendium this year.
  13. Nick same company I posted?
  14. I know a gun club that picks up a road kill doe in Sept and several members will check it in. This is during early bow season, just to get the buck tag. They do it every year
  15. I had it done. Turned out great.
  16. I’m pretty sure Pecker Wrecker can do this for you
  17. Hands down the most common snake in NJ.
  18. Congratulations ! NICE VIDEO !
  19. They check them in, they just lie about zones. Use zone 2, for example, instead of Z3 and you’re good to go.
  20. Sounds like an interesting trip. Do you rent a cabin on land owned by the State Forest or from a VRBO type rental service? I have not done it before but have been researching a hunting trip up there.
  21. Another recommendation for Jimmy. I’ve known him since about the 6th grade. We grew up together. I have many of his calls.
