I went out this morning trying to accomplish harvesting a longbeard with my Black Widow bow. Came up short with a miss,😥 So, I ran home and switched my recurve for my mossberg. I was blessed to end up calling in this beautiful gobbler into a mere 18 yards ! I put a good shot on him, and it was over, I never want it to be over. But I was also super excited to rebound after missing and being able to fill this tag. Big shout out to my little friend, my jake decoy, who helped keep the gobblers attention while I put the gun on him. He was a heavy bird sporting a nice rope and daggers. That's exactly what I've been using and the deer are on it. We are overrun with bears so I don't mix in anything sweet.

I don't mind them showing up as they just show up and walk off, it's if/when they hang out for a period of time I would get pissed cause they as you know will keep deer away

Sir....the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, then expecting a different outcome. If you put anything in the woods that has a good odor, bears will come.

You are correct. 6 day ended 12/9 and the last day to purchase a shotgun permit BUCK tag was 12/13. Has it always been that way? I remember it being different.

U do not have to buy the permit before 6 day. If you purchase an antlerless tag than you must buy the buck tag if you want a buck. I've bought both the night before January doe days
