  2. Knock on wood. Over all the thought of this project killed me. Many times I just wish I had money to pay someone to do it lol. It sat and sat. Finally pulled the bandage. The nice thing about old things is they were made to be easy to work on. The bad thing about old, need to be worked on things and running out of parts. Mt top was shot but bottom good. Had a dead motor that died from sitting and killed from rust, but top was good. Did head, in and exhaust and replaced other stuff from other motor I got for free. I wish I liked doing this crap but I hate it, I'll take new and money to fix or buy new rather than getting yelled at by my wife for having dirty hands lol. VID_20240427_185317467.mp4
  3. I’m interested in the 06 & 30-30 so maybe we can work something out.
  4. My daughter asked me to make her venison burgers for dinner, and for dessert she wanted churros with ice cream and fried apples... No need to twist my arm! Say no more! This churros dessert was something we had at the Disney Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant during one of our trips down there (which is no longer on their menu!). We liked it so much we've started to make it ourselves. Very delicious... All you need to do is make the churros... Buy some vanilla ice cream and a can of Cracker Barrel fried apples and you're in business. Churros with Ice Cream and Fried Apples INGREDIENTS: 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup whole milk 4 Tbsp unsalted butter 1/2 tsp granulated sugar 1/8 tsp salt 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 large eggs, cold Vegetable oil or canola oil, to fry churros Cinnamon sugar for dusting at the end (1/4 cup granulated sugar, plus 1/2 tsp cinnamon) Vanilla ice cream Fried apples (use a can of Cracker Barrel Fried Apples - add cinnamon and sugar to taste) DIRECTIONS: In a medium saucepan, combine water, milk, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and immediately stir in flour all at once with a wooden spoon. Once incorporated, put back on the heat and stir constantly for another 2 minutes to release extra moisture and partially cook the flour. The dough should come together smooth and a thin film will form on the bottom of the pan. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and use an electric mixer to beat on medium speed for 2 minutes to cool the mixture slightly. It will break up and become crumbly. Add eggs, adding 1 at a time and allowing each egg to fully incorporate between additions. Beat until dough is smooth and forms a thick ribbon when pulled up. If too thick, add tiny amount of milk, a tablespoon at a time. Heat 2" deep vegetable oil to 370˚F. Keep the oil between 350-370˚F while frying. Transfer dough to a pastry bag fitted with a large open star tip (Wilton 1M). Pipe 6" lengths into hot oil and cut with scissors. Fry 1.5 minutes per side or until golden brown, then flip with tongs and fry another 1.5 minutes. Fry in batches. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. While still warm, roll in cinnamon sugar. Top with vanilla ice cream and warm fried apples. NOTES: Makes about 12 churros, you can double the recipe for up to 2 dozen churros From: https://natashaskitchen.com/churros-recipe/

  10. Getting there for sure even with the delays.
  11. I went back to the truck around 930am, and went back in at 10am, I needed to add fresh minerals for the deer and a fresh lithium battery pack for the cell camera, which is on the other end of the property from where I was earlier even from there I would hear a gobble. I did some calling on my way to the camera nothing, I finally called it a day at 1115am, driving home in a field on Rt 94 near the Frelinghuysen school was a really big gobbler with a hen, this was around 1140am I hope you're right, I'm on the fence on going, just last few years very little or no birds heard in my area
  12. Odd morning for me. Birds hammering on the roost but not a peep after fly down. I did bump a longbeard moving to a new spot. I had just called a minute earlier and this bird was within 80 yards and didn’t respond. Nice morning in the woods though. Wish I could be out on Monday. It’s gonna be on fire with this warm up.
  13. High of 83 on Monday, good weather at least!
  14. Hunted a new spot in zone 22. We heard and saw a ton of birds. I thought I was on a Turkey farm from sunrise to 8 am. Gobblers never came in range as they chased all the hens.
  15. If I sell the gun and the ammo doesn’t go with it I will definitely sell it to you. This is my only 12 gauge slug gun so wouldn’t need it anyway. I’ll let you know
  16. Last week of April. Same report as every year. Plenty of fish here. Your biggest issue will be finding the right weather day to sail on. Fish the right weather and you will pound them. Good luck.
  17. My nephew went this morning they cleaned house! Wish I went !
  18. He seems to get along with the other two labs just fine. He also seems fine with people. As far as his shots, I don't know. If interested, I can get you the contact information to talk with the owners.
  19. Last week my buddies slaughtered them, and the next day were skunked. Hit or miss lol
  20. Just that! Going on a charter out of Keyport on Monday and from what I have read it is hit or miss! Thanks!
  21. I’ll buy those lightfields if you want to part with them. My 870 loves those things and i only have about 4 boxes left.
