    Musconetcong river same things dams gone water flows different. Heavy rains have changed things too. Water level lower now. Fly fishing has been ok. Have good and bad days.

    IMO while much smaller than other tuna . BLACKFIN are by far the best tasting .

    Love bluefish. A 5lb blue will whip a 10lb basses ass. They fight harder than bass. One minute they are bulldog'n ya in deep water then they are tail walking. They aren't as finicky when eating lures. And when prepped properly, are very good eating. Yes , they do not freeze well but their are other fish that don't freeze well either. Bleed em, nice briny slush. Filleted and trimmed up.

    Between now and say around the December bear hunt the average 100 lbs more ...but being they move distances and the bear 's rut is coming the chances aren't good he will be around

    I’m wondering if the initial pre season stocking given all the rain prior to opening day really spread them out. I don’t mind working for them but it’s nice when I only have an hour or so and can catch several. Especially with a 4 year old.

    It happens. I had a private spots on the ramapo, one year nonstop action now nothing. Still fish it but other than a few hold overs not what it once was.

    I just came back from fishing it. got 2 and one is a 14 tiger trout. I have not well fishing there as well. my one spot they don't seem to be stocking anymore. there just seems to be less fish being stocked.
