  2. Nice Mike.Finally A new hat, holy shit😂
  3. I’m wondering if the initial pre season stocking given all the rain prior to opening day really spread them out. I don’t mind working for them but it’s nice when I only have an hour or so and can catch several. Especially with a 4 year old.
  4. It happens. I had a private spots on the ramapo, one year nonstop action now nothing. Still fish it but other than a few hold overs not what it once was.
  5. Today
  6. Fun to catch. But not good eating imo
  7. I just came back from fishing it. got 2 and one is a 14 tiger trout. I have not well fishing there as well. my one spot they don't seem to be stocking anymore. there just seems to be less fish being stocked.
  8. Electric maybe you should give the tree a rub a dub.
  9. I'm down 23 lbs and feel great. Body is still adjusting. I ate a big steak and steamed veggies at 5pm was hungry as hell at 10 pm. On recomndation from a friend who has been into fitness and eating healthy I grabbed some barbell protein bars. They do not spike my sugar 16 carbs and 0 sugar. They curb my appetite. Also been eating cantaloupe raw almonds cashews as snacks.. I've never felt better.
  10. Look's burnt , send it back.
  11. Kill them all I hope they go away
  12. Took a quick trip the other morning from the new house on my 23' World Cat. (This boat is F'n awesome). Lost 1 Blackfin , watched one totally miss a spreader bar & landed one. Also had a sailfish swipe at a ballyhoo but no hookup. Home before noon. IMG_1002.MOV IMG_5738.MOV IMG_5742.MOV IMG_5751.MOV IMG_5750.MOV

  18. Finally made it to another place on our hit list. One plain, one shoe string housemade pepperoni . Both are excellent, thin, crispy and great flavor. Limited seating but we got lucky as a table just finished up. In the area stop by
  19. I used to fish there a lot. Awesome striper spot and Oyster Bay is beautiful, but far from NJ across NYC traffic. In all my experience at Bayville, every poacher I've encountered has been an immigrant from Latin America. And just about every one I've confronted argued baldfacedly that anything they catch goes in the pot. It gets truly sick there. When I was younger I sometimes took it on myself to chuck their illegal fish back into the water. Older and more mellow and listening to my wife, Ive stopped. But the scene at that beautiful spot with plentiful stripers and lotta blues later on turns my stomach. The crazy thing is how clueless--rather then straight up poachers-- a few of the new arrivals are. I once found two guys cast netting schoolies and porgies. When I explained im Spanish, they stopped immediately and returned the fish, no problem. Seemed genuinely bummed and shocked, and spoke no English. They hung out and talked fishing for a long time. They seemed to be, unlike many other guys there , genuinely decent people who just didn't know. To add to the Human negativity of Bayville, there's also an insular nastiness to a big group of the locals. They always treat me great because I'm large, ethnically similar to them, and wear waders (rather then roasting my fish and leaving behind bottles and pampers). So I get to hear their honest, twisted views of the world. It's not just a reaction to poachers. I think it's a Long Island thing. A few years ago a poacher got his line stuck with a big weight tied to his overweight braid on a white rod and clunky reel. After yanking hard the weight shot back and killed him w/ a blow between the eyes I haven't been out there in like two years but somehow I woke up today thinking of catching the outgoing some night this week Rupert Murdoch, Billy Joel, and Hannity used to/do have houses nearby. I'd be a liar if I were to say I'm not tempted to leave some fish bones, pampers and corona bottles for hannity
