  1. Past hour
  2. Population in those areas are a small fraction of what was once their add in the human and environmental pressures to the low numbers and the hunt becomes very challenging but not Impossible. Stay at it. A north jersey public land bird is a well earned prize
  3. I usually brown it first. I'll make different varieties at times... Chili seasoning Taco seasoning Peppers &onions I'll top with a slice of beefsteak tomato and then some slices of provolone
  4. I have hunted Berkshire valley and split rock . I agree with Bob everything well educated. Been heavily hunted for ever.
  5. With eliminating sugar and most carbs from your diet get ready to lose some weight, and quickly. Good luck
  6. All my venison is 100%. The only thing I have not mastered with venison is burgers. I don't make them for that reason. I have a half dozen recipes I've been saving. I'll ad yours to the list.
  7. I went out yesterday afternoon hoping the wind would let up but of course it didnt at least where the fish were it didnt. Boated 15 fish in three hours and thats all the waves I could take, if it were nice out we would of crushed them. Like others have said its been hit of miss
  8. Everything gets hidden in the transom cover. Now she's in for a good scrubbing and a shake down run
  9. Today
  10. Nice! Those are some good birds right there - big paintbrushes!
  11. Venison Burgers 1 lbs ground venison (I used straight 100% venison for the full pound, but I guess you could have a mix with beef or pork) 2 Tbsp McCormick Grill-Mates Hamburger Seasoning or Weber Gourmet Burger Seasoning (or come up with your own herb-spice mix, but I used the Webers) 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 Tbsp A-1 steak sauce 1 egg 1/2 onion or 1 full shallot, diced (or 1 Tbsp dried onion as a substitute) 2 Tbsp bread crumbs Combine all ingredients really well, and use a burger press or hands to form patties. Makes 4 quarter-pound patties. Let patties rest until about room temperature and then cook using desired method (grill, cast iron skillet, George Foreman grill, etc.).
  12. Just found this for sale for your boat. Looks like a good deal.
  13. Looks great! Type 1 or Type 2? I’ve had Type 1 for 24 years now. One thing to watch out for (which nobody told me about early on) is something called gluconeogenesis. Basically if you eat too much protein in one sitting, over the next few hours your blood sugar just keeps going up and up as the protein slowly converts into sugar…as if diabetics don’t already have to restrict themselves as it is! Feel free to reach out to me if you ever have any diabetes questions or need some tips… I’ve experienced it all pretty much!
  14. Where did all the wiring and battery box go? Nice work! Good luck and enjoy
  15. More confirmation bias to keep hammering. Thanks
  16. Hey now, solid advice thanks so much!
  17. I know the feeling. Rebuilt more than my share, and glad I'll never have to do it again. It is rewarding, though, when they first turn over.
  18. Now that's a great week, congratulations!
