I’ve been saying it for years. We have an early youth opener for Deer. Ducks. Turkey. Why not trout. Makes zero sense. PA does it.

I was only able to get out for an hour at 8 am and only got a bass on a spinner.

What was more important than Christmas Day when I was a kid and never even thought to miss it, haven't gone out on first day since 1972. Just can't deal with the attitudes over just a few stocked fish. If I knew where to catch those beautiful Crappies like in the photo, I would rather fish for them.

How did you get through the crowds .

stopped at 4 spots this morning that sometimes have as many as 20 people at them spread out .today their was between 50 and 100 at each spot elbow to elbow .

decided to scout for turkeys instead

Got skunked at the flatbrook this morning with my son. Slim pickings, water is really low. Can’t believe I woke up early for this.
