Effin coyotes

Shot a doe tonight through the shoulder, new she wouldn’t go far  didn’t even look for blood just went where I last saw her on edge of subdivision, mind you I only waited 15 minutes, I look up and see the biggest coyote I ever seen on top of my doe, can’t shoot due to house right behind it, this thing starts growling and yapping at me, I throw a rock and it just jumps back 15 feet and does the same thing finally after a 5 minute stand off it finally trots off slowly, damn thing ate both hams, what a waste, in just minutes

Should have moved to the side during that stand off and gave him a shot of carbon .

Really was no way , no matter what I would have been shooting too close and at house or pool and people were out side

I would have found a way to take that brazen coyote out.   Side-stepping and changing the angle of the shot and hopefully not have another house in the background.

You did the right thing about not shooting. If you did not feel comfortable shooting there was a reason. All the people that say you should have shot would have crucified you if the shot went bad. Smart move on your part. 
 

Sucks about your deer getting eaten.

Coyote season I don't believe is open anyway until end of the month. Stupid rule if I'm correct

This came up a few years ago I asked a warden he said incidental to any open deer season
