I think this type of mount would be  for a hunting cabin or man cave. May not be the best choice for the living room

A bit too flat....does'nt seem realistic. Unless just the picture angle

 As usual nice work , I like it its different i don't think it would go well in a living room at least not if you are married but its real creative and would look awesome in a man cave / game room. especially if you have a bunch of other mounts it will break up the same old shoulder mount theme...

I get it but i dont love it. I like the mounts that bring them back to life. However if you have a wall full of shoulder mounts something like that might look good just because its different.

I think it’s awesome!   Not for my wall but in a bar or in Cabela’s on display it’s perfect.

If I packed the deer out from a miles-hike through the wilderness, I would like a mount like that - a neat reminder of the hunt and how I got it out - plus it's a good "discussion piece" - someone sees it and wants to hear the story.

If I really didn't pack it out, but wanted to mount it like that "just because" then nah. That kind of mount really needs to have a story behind it. Otherwise, it's just one of these:
