Friday on the West Branch

Bucksnbows

Recommended Posts

The West Branch Delaware has seen very little pressure compared to most years because of all the high water this spring. And that has meant delayed hatches. I ran up today with a couple buddies and haven’t been disappointed at all. Hendricksons are still pouring off along with blue quills, March Browns and gray fox, their spinners, and some caddis.

Taking a rain/beer brake before heading back in for the spinner fall.

Nice looking Brown. I saw a lot of trout rising today. They won't touch any lures. Wishing I had a fly rod there, I did have a beadhead and caught on trout right there on it but with my spinning rod.

They were chomping mayflies on top until the t-storms arrived. Epic for several hours.
