Heard 2 Tom’s way off the property gobbling on the roost .

Tried tree calling and had a hen talking to me close . Saw her pitch down and start to head towards the Tom’s .

started calling her aggressively and she came back to me . Kept her around me content purring when finally I heard a gobble 100 yards away .

got him wound up and he came in quick .

Postured for 5 minutes at my jake decoy not giving me a shot . Then walked past to my lay down hen .

‘Rage turkey crushed his wing butt , down on the spot .

Way to get it done, Dan!  So that's what a turkey looks like.  It's been awhile since we have seen any numbers of them where I hunt.  This is my third consecutive year not hunting them in NJ because our local numbers are way down.  Hoping to get upstate in May where we have as many birds as I've seen anywhere still.
