Mexico Coues hunt… Live.. (sorta)

I guess I should have started this earlier. It’s the second day now of 10 days in Sonora Mexico chasing Coues deer.

Ill be on 2 different ranches we leased 

5 days on each.

I’m not sure the size of each ranch other than they are huge.

Signals are spotty so I’ll do dates as I can.

(Spoiler alert) I filled one of three tags in the first couple hours yesterday morning and almost took another buck of booner class an hour later but a wind shift sent him packing…

Lots of rain this year has lighter than usual activity at water holes. Good thing bucks are cruising for does as the ruts kicking in good.

9 am yesterday morning a lone doe came to drink then fed off.

A 1/2 hour later I was digging in my pack and had my glasses off  when I glanced out the window I see a deers walking quickly to water inside of 30 yards.

Thinking it’s a doe I just slide my glasses down and I’m surprised to see a nice rack… Hurry mode sets it.

I get all positioned as the bucks drinking. A 25 yard shot and a 65 yard blood trail later and I had this nice
