Loading deer by yourself ??

That thing looks pretty cool. Not too crazy expensive. You could use this for more than deer too

I just hop up on the tail gate and lift the front half up and over the edge, then drag it in.  Of course I have a little truck and I shoot little deer.

How about just dragging one up into the back seat of your sedan by using some tarps? Lol. I don’t own a truck and at these new prices idk if I ever will. 

Some great strategies were shared here though, I’ll have to revisit this post if I win the lottery or someone gifts me a truck haha!

Can’t do it myself anymore. My back is toast. I call my wife. She is retired police. She’s 5ft nothing but a pit bull. She’s my ride or die. Can’t count on my buddies but she never lets me down. She helps me track them if needed. She helps me drag and gut em. She’s come along way. 25 yrs ago she wouldn’t look at the deer when I came home with one. Now she helps me butcher them. I’m a lucky man! She even lets me do European mounts on the stove!

Done that a bunch of times but when I hunt solo I just make sure I have my deer rack in the hitch and a few ratchet straps.

Jetsled. 

Use the Jet sled to drag the deer from gut pile to your truck.

Then put front of sled up to tailgate. Go to back of sled and lift and push. A 2x8 cut to the length of you bed with one of those Dirt bike ramp ends could help the sled go up as well. 

Jetsleds keep the blood out of your truck.

Rope around the neck, get in the back of the truck and pull them in

Use home made ramp 2”x6” and have long rope on sled so I can get in bed of truck and pull sled up

I just keep a piece of plywood in bed of my truck and lean it on the tailgate, then rope the deer and slide it up.
