BOW SHOP RECOMMENDATION IN NORTH NJ

I lived a mile from Targeteers and always went there, I live over an hour away now and if I still used a compound I would go back.

also, a great shop would be Simon Peters in the Newton area

I personally only use Garden State Bow & Reel. I think that they tune/set up bows better than all the other shops. All have the same bows, few check timing of each limb/cam. Some paper tune, some do not. In my opinion, these two set up practices are most important. Some food for thought..........from day of manufacture/bow put together to the day of purchase can be more than a year. The strings obviously will stretch to a degree and can be out of timing when brand new.

Stay away from Targeteers. Nasty entitled a holes work there.

Still?  I haven't been there in years.  Rob the owner always treated me and my dad great so I never dealt with anyone else.

My friend wants to get a hunting compound bow for his 11 year old kid. Any recommendations for a good bow shop in north NJ?

Thanks.

It's been many years, but I took my 9/10 year olds to Simon Peter for their first hunting bows ... really great service and people.
