Kids wanted to go fishing lasted 20 minutes before they wanted to go to the park.  They did have a blast each catching 10 or so

nice job. thats the way to do it. make it a fun trip so they dont get bored. and then they will ask to go fishing again. 

when i take my daughter i let her find flat rocks to bring home so she can paint them.

It's an industrial park. Kids attempt at building a dock Honestly minus the pallets it's surprisingly clean

You did good. I took my kids to a pond close to my house to fish.  There was a play ground with swings and all the other fun stuff. We fished for like an hour and then we were in the playground. You take them fishing and if they loose interest that’s ok. Let them play and they will want to go fishing again. It’s a win win!
