My Health Issues are Going Downhill Fast

It sounds to me like nerve damage. Neck/back injuries and damage can cause exactly what you are describing and worse e.g. complete atrophy of muscles. There are also a bunch of underlying diseases that can cause the atrophy but considering what you said about your neck I'd say that is the most likely cause. Regardless, you should have a full workup including bloodwork.

First thing I would do is stop boxing, especially if you are sparring and getting hit in the head or doing anything where you make jerky head movements as this will only aggravate your issues. Just the mechanics of throwing punches puts a lot of rotational force on the spine. Also, like stated above, try to maintain good posture, bring the phone up to your face don't bend your neck to look down at the phone. If you have any numbness in your fingers at night try sleeping with a soft neck collar on to see if that helps take some pressure off the nerves (not a solution but can alleviate some pain).

Find someone to treat your neck, do some rehab, then maybe see about boxing again. Hope you get this figured out.

My bro had 3 neck surgeries….he said ….

***Tell the guy on woods and water to go to hospital for special surgery in NYC for the neck. Surgery is the last resort. Had three and should have stopped after one. All that clumsiness and lack of gripping is from the nerves in the spine. ***

hope you feel better!!

good point about the Lyme I'll get that checked out.

I had it once about 20 years ago. It was treated with doxycycline.

I'm having a chest CT at the VA soon.

Thanx to all that sent support

I’m no doctor but from what I understood when my wife had it was once you have it you always have it but it is treatable and can go dormant and come back later in life. But something may have changed that was many years ago. Wish you the best

Right on.  If you test negative through your regular doctor, then go to a Lymes Specialist.   There are 2 in NJ the last time I looked.  Dr. Eugene Eskow in Flemington is the one I went to.

They don't accept insurance, but they can't because of the specific tests they run and the labs they use.  They're a lot more thorough and have treated tons of patients who couldn't get answers from a typical physician.
