My Health Issues are Going Downhill Fast

You need comprehensive blood work and cover every tick-born illness not just Lyme. All other tests like thyroid etc as well.  150# weight loss in two years is a lot - you lost an extra average sized human that all your organs and joints and bones and overall infrastructure were used to supporting. Simply put - do NOT give up or take a defeatist attitude be very aggressive with doctors and testing and bloodwork. Something is off and most likely can be fixed. Everyone over 40 has disk and neck and spine issues and carpal tunnel is real but unless you have a career or hobby that would really play into that - I would question as well.

Good luck!

Got to go with the consensus opinion and have the Lyme checked out. A close friend of the family was an avid golfer. Suffered immeasurably. Really kicked his butt. Lots of people are under the misconception that you only get Lyme out in the woods. We all know that is not a fact. Friends never stepped in the woods but were nuts for their landscaping. Both got it. Check out a specialist in the field and do some research on the test beforehand to make sure there is nothing(meds, foods etc.) that can influence it one way or another.

GOOD LUCK!

Damn man so sorry to read this. I wondered what happened as I haven't heard to much from you.

Sounds like you need to see the right Dr for the right test.

Please get better.

Having had carpal tunnel syndrome on both wrists I can attest that it will impact your grip strength.  Surgery and devoutly following the PT program will largely get it back.

How are your other muscle groups impacted for strength?  Have your squat, quad extensions and hamstring curls all suffered?  Deadlift relies on grip strength a lot as do a lot of arm exercises with weights.

How are you iron levels?

Are you diabetic and if you are - how closely are you tracking your sugar levels?

Just some suggestions of things to research before something as drastic as spinal surgery.
