Had a nice 8 cruising at 80 yds and a basket 8 tending a doe in the thick stuff so far.

Continual action since dawn. Does and fawns scattered all over woods gorging on acorns. Two spikes chasing them all around. All in range at different times. Many times downwind but scent must  be rising not getting busted.  One spike made scrape off branch of tree I am in.  No mature bucks but it’s nice and cold feels great to be out!  Got some hot coffee and wind not too bad. Definitely hunted in worse

Woke up at 0455, heard the wind howling and went right back to sleep. Off the next 16 days from work, so I have plenty of time

Doesn't look good down here in VA. The winds are gusting up to 40 mph so, we are getting some work done for my mom and then go out tomorrow morning for the muzzy opener. Very little deer activity. I checked all of the cameras and the biggest buck is a basket rack 8. I found some active ground scrapes but, nothing like there were last year. We did manage to catch 30 stripers in the tidal stream off of my mom's property yesterday. But, when there's white caps in the stream, we do not go out. Good luck everyone!

Out in 2. One 3pt 2 doe s and some turkey. Have a few new bucks on camera this week so I’m hopeful.  Property owner saw this one across the street from his house this morning.
