Stacking the flats

   Took my uncle out on Friday up to the Raritan Bay. Fluking was slower than I have been having but the quality was there. We only caught 26 fluke but 18 were keeper size. I started off with my first one just over 19". Was to fast so I released it. Nothing real big but solid fish to 22" most 20+ inch. Took us a while to get our last slot fish (17"to under 18") all fun on trout rods. Great day on the RB. 

   Today I took a friend to Sharkriver and had a tough time finding keepers.  We caught 143 fluke but only 2 keepers to 22" again. Lots of little ones. Wind was blowing like crazy and made it hard to fish but I worked the motor to keep us running right. 

So far I have caught 67 keeper fluke myself.  Many of them released

Also this one was shot by a spear fishermen and pulled off.

Was better on the incoming for sure. Fished a hour or so out going and was slow.
