Dug out an old album. I graduated high school in Oklahoma and 12 hours later I was in Alaska hitch hiking and looking for spots to fish. Here is a pic of a tent I bough from a local add in a paper and a few fish from the banks. The large female king was 54 inches long from what I remember. Could have killed her but after an hour fight I let her go. Fish and game said she probably had 5,000 eggs and weighed an easy 70 lbs. Biggest King I ever caught and it was tough from the bank.

The tent leaked so I put a tarp over the top. The zipper was broke so I made a door out of a tarp. Typical Alaskan solution. But was my home for 2 summers

I love Alaska...definitely will go back. I fished the Green River on Admiralty Island. It was a fly in/out trip. We caught salmon EVERY cast on clouser fly.

Some of these pictures are my son’s, he and his sister are more photogenic than I. From Alaska to Baja Mexico to Iceland to the Keys, and a bunch of places in between, we’ve been fortunate to fish in some real pretty places.

I only showed a few I didn’t want to act too big for my britches….. there sure were a lot more memories I didn’t post but I wanted to get the original team in there….. and probably what was the very first fluke charter in Cape Cod…. Bluefish balls and all😂
