Modern PT wood is safe for gardens. The toxic materials previously used have been outlawed for many years. That's why it doesn't last as long.

I’m jealous. There, I said it. My raised bed is at least 20 years old and needs rebuilding, but I didn’t have time this spring. At least it’s planted and has a soaker hose system installed.
