JHbowhunter
Guess I better stop using my 125 gr, 2 1/4” cut Swhackers and go back to my 1 1/8” COC fixed blade VPA’s. I actually had no reason to switch, other than the VPA “over penetrated” and stuck a foot in ground with every deer - energy I could be using to drive an axe through them. I am 9 for 9 on deer since trying the Swhackers in 2019, 4 of the 5 being big mature bucks. But the Field and Stream article says I should not be so I better stop https://www.fieldandstream.com/hunting/fixed-blade-broadheads-better-than-mechanicals/ Edited March 13, 2022 by JHbowhunter electric10162, thefirstndsecond and TDietz 3 Nothing spooks deer more than my stank… 16 3/4” Live Fluke Release Club I shot a big 10pt once…. Will this be about Ranch Fairy and 660 grain arrows? As the forum turns! Who owns field and stream now by the way? Have you seen his 10 pointer? His favorite rock band is humble pie yeah right. Jack and Jill Full Lyrics Jack and Jill Went up the hill To fetch a pail of water Jack fell down And broke his crown, And Jill came tumbling after. Up got Jack, and home did trot As fast as he could caper He went to bed and bound his head With vinegar and brown paper. When Jill came in How she did grin To see Jack’s paper plaster; Mother vexed Did whip her next For causing Jack’s disaster. electric10162 and thefirstndsecond 2 “In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by sportsmen.” -Theodore Roosevelt
