I did a lot of coon hunting started when I was 12 my neighbor had the dogs. Walkers an blue ticks. Was fun riding in the 70 something Chevy station wagon with Hurst 4 on the floor. Shotgun got too boring and easy so I took this one with the bow..21lbs..48"tip of nose to tail.

One of the best deer I ever shot, kid was 3.5 years old, mom and wife said don't get your hopes up, you're putting too much into this and so on.

Got out settled in and they started moving.

Big doe comes out my 3 and a half year old got to see an arrow go through a deer at 16yrds.

She found the arrow and tracked the deer.

She's 13 now and we have shot 1 or 2 every year on opening day since.

Isn’t that SxS in the picture a Stevens/Savage 311? I had one in 12 gauge that was my first shotgun I bought new in 1968.  I still had the gun until 2 years ago. I remember those diamond shapes on the forend wood.
