Everything is doing well with the exception of some pepper plants.

Looks like you don't have a deer problem with your garden. How do you do it?

I have 6 tomato plants. Three of them Heirlooms. One of my Heirloom's tomatoes are getting blossom end rot. I had to remove 5 already. A few more on there are doing well. I added calcium several times. They are in big pots. Is it possible they are not being sufficiently watered? I put about a gallon in each pot daily. I stick my finger in and the soil feels moist. What's up with this one plant?

I had the town put a "deer crossing" sign a mile down the road from me. It's too much for them to walk all the way  back down to my house in the summer heat. I'll have the sign moved much closer in the fall!

I got a late start, not able to do as much as I used to but still had a decent garden this year. My zucchini, yellow squash and cuc's were late, so they are coming on at peak picking about the same time as my peppers and egg plant, which are early this year.

Lost all my broccoli to a groundhog that got in and ate the head off of all 12 plants. He killed my early planting of string beans too.  My greens did well, picked a ton of lettuce, spinach, kale, swiss chard, beets and beet greens, radishes and collard greens last month.

Since the end of June, I've been picking peppers, yellow squash, zucchini, cuc's, about 2, sometimes 3 times a week. This is from Wednesday and this morning, even pulled a few onions and rutabaga's. Monday's picking was all given away.

Still plenty here to give away as well. Have a ton of jalapenos and pablano's I didn't pick yet. Been getting a few Black Krim tomatoes, and some cherry tomatoes, but my tomatoes are a few weeks away from being ripe. Butternut and acorn squash are coming along and my second planting green and yellow wax beans are about to go nuclear.

Squash vine borers destroyed my zucchini crop, managed a dozen before the carnage though.  I think I cut them off before they got to my daughters jack-o-lantern pumpkins growing in the stock tank.  Plenty is coming in though, tons of tomatoes, cucumber, corn, peppers and my cucamelon are exploding now.  I suspect the next 2 weeks will be prime harvest.  Replanting carrots and turnips now for a hopeful fall harvest.

Doesn't anybody grow cacuzzi? I did when I had a big garden. 3 ft of delicious Italian squash. First time the mrs  took em into work, the security guard at hoffman la roach  said sorry no weapons allowed on the property.lol

Loading up the counters.  Freezing some stuff to replace the stuff I froze last year that never got used and went to the chickens. If this stuff doesn't get used this year then it may be my last for a garden.  Just like the pool nobody noticed was there until after I took it down. Maybe I'll just grow corn and pumpkins. At least that I can feed to the deer to get more hotdogs and sausages out of it.
