Anyone put tomatoe plants in the ground yet?

yup.  When temps at night are in the 50's around mid May everything goes in, except pumpkins which I count backwards from Oct 1st the amount of days to harvest on the package.  Sometime in June they go in as seed.

Tomatoes were only about 6" tall in a 3 pack when I put them in around mothers day.  Getting blooms on the early girls already.

I got them in on the 18th since rain was in the forecast the next day.

You can water them from  till the cows come home just keep them alive the rain water they thrive,  when I had a big garden I had 4 55 gallon drums being filled from the gutter leaders.

I love early girls, I planted a week or two before memorial Day and I'd be picking em  4th of July. They'd shoot their load by the end of August,I plant Jetstar and celebrity and they produce into late September. Tried two different plants this year they're probably 18" high already have  tomatoes the size of golf balls, foodie fresh

My dad was big on gardening and had 3 drums lined up one slightly shorter than the other as overflows collecting rain water from the gutter.
