So this being in the General Hunting Discussion forum, I thought about the one thing other than license and weapon I have on me regardless of what I’m hunting and thats a good first aid kit.

besides the basics like license and weapon. those are a given. i always have a good head lamp. hands free light is a must for me. no matter what your doing in the outdoors.

Besides weapon and license/permits my phone is my next go to item.  Most of my hunting is by myself on private property likewise if I'm on public I go to the deep off-the-path spots, so if I get hurt or stuck dangling on safety line from tree there is little chance someone is going to stumble by me.

Even then I still usually text wife/parents to let them know when I'm starting into and finished in the woods.
