Youth turkey mission success!! 5 toe’ed gobbler down!!

We are on absolute Cloud 9!!

Set up a blind on a strut zone for AJs first youth turkey hunt!!  We slipped in there early….then I had to trek back to the truck cuz I forgot the xbow bolts!!  Ugh

No worries…he gobbled on the roost a short time later….then the rain came and we couldn’t hear him much anymore. Did some occasional yelping and got him to respond….then his hens responded …& they brought him in tow!!  
 

Upon inspection of the gobbler’s beautiful perfection of nature…we observed he was missing a toe!!
 

So proud of this kid!!  And we were able to make it to his lacrosse game!!  lol
