Took advantage of the hot weather and took my youngest son out with me hunting. I have had turkeys crossing from a cut field to an Alfalfa field pretty regularly. I also had some does and bucks showing in this area too. After sweating to death and swatting mosquitoes most of the morning we had this Jake show up. He swung wide of the blind. 40 yard shot but he dropped right in his tracks. Spitfire broadhead caught his spine and dropped him. My first fall turkey ever. Gonna make some turkey pastrami.
