Almost a bad snake encounter

Me and the wife went for a hike out by cabelas today and as we were reaching the top the person right in front of us almost stepped on this guy, needless to say when he rattled at her she about jumped off the side of the mountain.  Got done before it got too hot today.  Also included a picture from the one scenic spot we stopped at.

I would have jumped off the mountain and hit the ground running. Snakes are my kryptonite. I do not like them especially if I do not see them first. I am okay if I spot them first.

I know Rattlesnakes have been seen on the Sweet Clover Trail going up Skunnymonk Mt. In Mountainville,my. Popular Trail it is.

The only thing I try to avoid more than snakes is my wife on the weekends !

I have seen plenty of Copperheads in the woods. Thankfully no Rattle snakes yet

At least rattlesnakes have the ability to warn you...copperheads will just bite you....But both are docile.....

All snakes beside their beauty have a second benefit, they are edible good nutrition when there is no other meat available

Boa constrictor is great in coconut milk, cilantro  and palm oil
