Personally I'm a fan of craftsmanship & finely engraved with nice wood not plastic or crappy wood substitute. 

I completely understand that wood is horrible in some environments but it's ascetics that I'm talking about. 

Obviously the guys who had these had more money than knew what to do with no different than having super expensive rims on a pinto thinking you have something special.
