optowalt
Here's my reason. My grandson and future hunter. I have a place on Cape Cod but it's too far to see him on a regular basis. The only good thing is we will prob have him for summers at the beach. Jim_, hammer4reel, Farmshine and 7 others 8
Bones
For me I have a good career but only 8 years to retire hopefully my 3 girls will still be in school which will put a delay on moving but as soon as they are in college I’ll hold my middle finger out the window as I drive away and over the bridge. I haven’t really thought about where to go but West Virginia or further west maybe Wyoming. I don’t like people so the more secluded the better. My kids will always have the option to live me me and mom if they want

FeniQuest217
Wife and I talk about leaving all the time....but its more of a "tongue in cheek chat" usually. We have big families and would really be hard to leave. We do love NJ, i love it even more since getting my hunting license. We bought our first house 2 years ago this june in union county. I need to find the article but i saw a line in it saying "new jerseyans are unhappy with its high taxes but 70% are happy with its government" -- this stuff is why we talk about leaving. The property taxes are a joke and it needs to be addressed. Like i said i bought my house almost 2 years ago and our taxes are only 7k/year.....will it be at 15k in 10 years? because that shouldn't happen. I know plenty of you pay more than that but its out of hand and something needs to be done.
