Not so lone ago there was a study posted here how aggressive coyote eradication programs  did nothing to improve deer population.

I remember that article, I think it had to do with weather, heavy rain as top % for fawn mortality. Doesn't look like a coyote kill, the hind quarters are untouched, no ripped up hide, but who knows

Does not look like a yote kill.  Many fawns die naturally and it looks to be a meal for some other type of animal or bird

They killed it. I know the property extremely well. It's 60 yards where I trapped the breeding pair running together

With the vast majority of meat in hind quarters. Unlikely portion to leave behind for a yote..IMO

Bobcats are everywhere to gentlemen and fox are also known to take down fawns.

They are probably killing so many fawns that they couldn't finish that one.  

I have a fox den by me and have found fawn hooves there as well as turkey feet this spring.  No more passing fox for me.
