WHAT DID YOU LEARN NEW THIS HUNTING SEASON

I learned that I really enjoy hunting from the ground with the x bow in a natural ground blind. It's nice to get out of the stand and give the compound a break once in a while. I plan on doing more of that next season.

Learned there's less deer than last year.  Learning the same thing every year.

Learned to have more patience. I took a nice 7 point during permit bow. After I decided to glass the 1 property nightly. Sure enough, I  figured out the 2 trails when the wind was right, coming to the back field. Don't ever hunt if the wind isn't right. If you are in stand and the wind changes to your disadvantage....climb down and go home.Went in and built a natural ground blind and took my best buck on the ground. Caught my biggest trout to date as well as taking 2 bucks so far. The 10 point being my best buck to date. I also learned the more bucks you take, the more it costs for taxidermy!

I learned that overtime jobs suck when they start in September and run until January.

Bought my property 2014. Took me 5 years to learn the big bucks run the power line November 1-10. I ignored what I saw ever year.

Learned that your good health  is more important than deer hunting and that less is more.

I learned i can't always hunt a few days and be tagged out. I have hunted hard this year and have taken a nice 8 early bow but been out tons since. The bucks have out smarted me alot. But im still going.

Just learned when coming back into the same spot you baited in the AM go slower than usual...be quieter climbing back up...jumped about 20 deer yesterday that were coming towards my area...must have been on the other side of gully and saw/heard me getting back in. Ughhhhhh

I learned that if I want to see more big bucks, we, my son and I should have never encouraged the neighbor kid to hunt!!

I've used as light as skeet choke in a double gun for first shot for Pheasant over dogs.

i learned to not trust beaver to do the right and not flood the only way into the property. Also, this spring to build a bridge over said areas.
