Coyotes and turkey vultures beat me to it

Wow the condition of that...you would think it was in the woods a couple of days... If you didn't follow your blood trail to it I would say this was somebody else's. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Always let someone know where you are!

Wow glad to hear your ok. I totally agree on letting someone know. We all think about it too late...been in a situation like yours were I said damn that was close I should've let someone know. Especially the older we get to he more you exert yourself the harder the heart works...kinda like the snow shoveling heart attacks. Kool to hear about the auto app that will send out an sos. What I have done is I set up a group text list called "hunting notification". It sends a text to 3 of my friends and my son. I tell them where I am hunting and if a new location I will send GPS coordinates. Once done hunting I let them know I'm out as well. Sometimes we are all out and we chat about our hunts or send pics as well. Wife does not need to be on the text chain as she would not like to know I hunt so much. She does know to call these 3 friends if I do not make it home. Never used it for scouting though good idea too. I was in 6 mile a few weeks ago about an hour before sundown 330 or so scouting...didn't get out till after 8pm and my phones were nearly dead... that's was rough walk. No one knew I was there if I had an issue I'd still be there. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

WHAT DID YOU LEARN NEW THIS HUNTING SEASON

Just learned when coming back into the same spot you baited in the AM go slower than usual...be quieter climbing back up...jumped about 20 deer yesterday that were coming towards my area...must have been on the other side of gully and saw/heard me getting back in. Ughhhhhh Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

    1/19 check in

Am sit was a bust at the golf course...sat here only a few times in the am and never see a deer...late pm almost always see deer. Went back for PM sit...I must have made a little too much noise climbing back up my stand...got to the top, turned and saw about 20 deer running away from my stand and onto the course full sprint....ughhh!!! WHAT DID YOU LEARN NEW THIS HUNTING SEASON

I learned to not holding your prussic knot as you are climbing down your tree in case you fall you'll squeeze the hand holding it and could slide all the way down... No i didn't fall or slip just realized it was bad. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  10. Never seen something like that before... My son got me hunting four years ago when he turned 10. He's only been deer hunting three times and pheasant hunting twice. Funny thing is he loves venison and pheasant. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  14. Decided to take the DD out to the mill this am for pheasant...first time to the mill...wowooo can I say crowded. I thought a Tuesday would be less than a Saturday. No luck today every field we went to there was a row 6-10 people already walking through. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. This is my new pup VeraIV 8 months old. She flushed to birds this morning and pointed this one. I actually winged she had to go get it and bring it back. you can tell she was really happy in that second picture when she's laying down!! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
