He's alive by millimeters. Hurting big. 50 yards is not a long way to find sign  on a hit there.   Bleeding most likely all internal. I'd be more worried about how much noise you might have made to get him on his feet to keep going.  He was most likely circling back to his bed where he feels most secure. Hopefully the dog will pick up on its fear.

Shot didnt look terribly far back- im sure liver.
Probably needs 6hrs minimum.
Meat shouldnt spoil - he wont be dead the whole time.

Check near water. That's where he will head later if he has the chance and can make it.

Very surprised the deer went as far as it did already. Shot did NOT look bad. You will find him in the morning Kanigie. If I didn't have work in the morning, I would have gladly helped with the search.
