Sunset for a king! Oswego

If anyone remembers Glasswater Outdoors from NJH we have stayed in touch over the years. He has taken his years of mastering RV trout up to Oswego. He re-tooled an older Gloucester 29” Pursuit Tuna boat wit 13” beam into a Lake Ontario fish catching Machine. I finally got up there yesterday for dawn to dusk trip.  Everyone crushed the salmon Friday so  I expected Saturday to be a “shoulda  been here yesterday” and it was a slow day with good people. I got my first king at 4:30pm and Jake his first an hour later. I ended with one more at dusk.  Really liked it up there -easy 4 hour drive. 17-20 lb salmon fight like equal size bluefish. They insisted we take the 3 fish home so dinner is set.

It seems that once they start staging the bite becomes very unpredictable. Late July and early August is more consistent when they start their migration they really stop feeding, thats not to say you cant crush them on any given day but it becomes harder.

Really nice fish and still Silver.
