Tough Fluking but Limited out

  Took Mike (OMC)  and my uncle Neil today. Fluking reports have been iffy but I was certain we could get a few. We fished hard and it paid off. Lots of current  and mixed weather forecast. With the forcast I expected we would have very little drift...wrong . Had a perfect drift early but finding keepers was hard. Moved around different depths  and areas till we found some. Marks I had for the past produced. 

  We ended up keeping our limit of Fluke, 3 ling and 2 nice male Seabass. Mike also caught a small Sandbar Shark on a bucktail.  Decent fight and a lot of teeth.  I had the hot hand today get the biggest at just over 5 pounds and released 2 others that were 4 plus pounds, we had our 3 overs already.

Awesome trip! They are there just have to put in the time & move around & find the ones that want to eat.   Bottom of the ocean is still cold.  Talking to a couple divers said the bottom is loaded w/ fluke, just freezing cold.

Lot of south wind. Water definitely running colder than normal.

Nice I fish yesterday on a headboat Caught 6 fluke with 2 being keeper slot fish The fish where ice cold

John great trip as always as you said we were expecting no drift and ended up with 6-8 oz jigs. Need to keep moving to find the active fish !
