Heading to LBI

Going to chase some fluke in the surf. I have my spro jigs and gulp. Fishing near spray beach. Hopefully I will have something to report back!

 

If not I understand the kings and few blues are running around....

Ah man I'm jealous. I just love LBI. Been surfing there for years but just started to surf fish. Good luck

Kingfish rigs and fishbites cut into 1" pieces.  1 or 2oz bank sinker.  Slow very slow crawling retrieve. Keep moving til you find them.  They are there.

What size jig you using in the surf ?

Surf is pretty calm. I am heading out around 7pm and will start with 3/4 oz then see how it fishes. I expect to be fishing closer to surf break line.
