Been getting 5 to 10 fluke a day out of the hole off my beach north of LBI. They have been all the same size as the one you posted …. Burger bun sized ! 

Try this rig :

main line with a 1/2 to 1 oz egg sinker above a small bead tied to a small barrel swivel. Then from the bottom of the swivel , tie a foot to foot and a half fluorocarbon leader , then tie on a small circle hook. Basically a fish finder rig.

been using white or newpenny 3” gulp minnows just dragging the rig back slowly to the beach or along the trough.

I had a keeper off the beach in LBI last week. I pretty much live down here all summer 
Lots of small fish in the surf

The evening bite was on tonight. Few more shorts. Spent few hours on Spray beach. Guys next to us got a nice brown shark.
